The most advanced and sophisticated chemistry is of little value without parallel service. Make no mistake, industrial water treatment is the quintessential service industry. There are really very few secrets regarding the chemical technology. All the competent water treatment companies are essentially selling variations of the same technology. The problem is, that the chemical treatments are of little value without the technical expertise to properly choose and apply the right chemistry for a particular application.

What distinguishes one water treatment vendor from another? More than anything else it comes down to the Sales/Service Rep in the field. That Rep’s technical competence and the customer’s confidence in his or her experience, training, and servicing ability is the bottom line. All the other capabilities of the Corporate Offices and Laboratory are nice but meaningless, if the customer doesn’t believe in the person who is servicing his facility. A water treatment company is only as good as their worst service person. Little else matters if that worst service person happens to be assigned to your site.
